Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29th Jun 2026

At Time for Me, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and your rights in relation to your personal data.

Who We Are

Time for Me is an informal network of independent, self-employed counsellors and psychotherapists based across the South West of England. The network exists to promote professional connection, collaboration and the visibility of its members.

Time for Me does not provide counselling or psychotherapy services. Each therapist featured on this website operates their own independent practice and is responsible for their own privacy practices in relation to the services they provide.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use our website, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Information you provide when making an enquiry
  • Technical information such as your IP address, browser type and website usage (where applicable)

Please do not include sensitive personal or medical information when making an initial enquiry unless it is necessary.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry.
  • Help you connect with an appropriate independent therapist if requested.
  • Maintain the security and operation of our website.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We will only process your personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so under UK GDPR.

Sharing Your Information

If you ask us to help you find a therapist, we may share your enquiry and contact details with an appropriate therapist within the Time for Me network.

Otherwise, we will not share your personal information with third parties unless:

  • you have given your consent;
  • we are required to do so by law; or
  • it is necessary to protect someone's vital interests.

Once you begin working with an individual therapist, they become independently responsible for the personal information they collect and process as part of their private practice. Their own Privacy Policy will apply to that information.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We only retain personal information for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry or fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, unless we are required by law to retain it for longer.

Website Cookies

Our website may use cookies to improve your browsing experience and help us understand how visitors use our website.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device.

For more information, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

Keeping Your Information Secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

However, no method of transmitting information over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • request access to your personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request erasure of your information in certain circumstances;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing where applicable;
